May 2025 - DIY SOS came to Beverley to create a youth club in the area called Cherry Tree Youth Hub!
In just 9 days, the site went from a grassed field area to an extraordinary youth club handed over to the charity.
The Power Of Community
Hundreds of tradesman, tradeswoman, volunenteers, production, management, catering ect made this happen in just 9 days, working long hours from 07:30am in the morning to 21:00pm at night - the amazing people/community that got involved to make this happen is truly unbelievable and we got to be a part of it helping out with the electrical installation on the project.
We were humbled at the experience - hearing from the young children/adults on how it has helped them create a safe space because they do not feel like home is safe, that brought tears to your eyes just hearing those words.
If you not seen it and live local, you should check it out - it will blow your mind on how well it was constructed and designed.
